Disabled student allowance

Service Overview: People with disabilities are very neglected in our society. The government has taken various programs to improve the living standards of the disabled. To get this facility you have to apply by filling the prescribed form. Indigent people with disabilities get allowance through this government service. Service benefits: 1. People with disabilities get financial benefits. They do not have to depend on others 3. Process: Individuals with disabilities registered by the Department of Social Services with an average annual income of a maximum of Rs. The Union Committee will verify the application and send the preliminary list to the Upazila Committee for final approval. The Upazila or Municipality or Metropolitan Committee will finalize the list and issue allowance books in the name of the beneficiaries through the Upazila Social Service Officer with the approval of the Member of Parliament. Then the beneficiary opened a bank account in his own name for 10 rupees. The allowance money was transferred from the joint bank account of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and the Social Service Officer to the beneficiary's bank. Beneficiaries will withdraw the allowance from their bank account.
Eligibility All persons with disabilities above 6 years of age who do not receive old age allowance or any other allowance from the government; Persons with disabilities who have an annual per capita family income of less than Rs. 36,000 / - (thirty six thousand) who are not employed or pensioners
Necessary documents 1. Application in the prescribed form. Certificate by UP chairman or member 3. Passport size photo 4. Attested copy of national identity card (by UP chairman) 5. Certificate of Disability by Civil Surgeon or Upazila Health and Family Planning
Necessary Expenses The service provided is free but the selected beneficiaries have to open a bank account in their own name at the designated bank for Rs.
Maximum time of service is 03 months
Work will start in all upazila / city social service offices
